Themes
Apply pre-defined themes instantly or save your custom designs for reuse across all forms and surveys
Themes provide a quick way to apply cohesive design settings to your forms. Each theme includes coordinated colors, typography, button styles, and layout options that work together beautifully.

Applying themes
How to apply a theme
- Open your form or survey editor
- Look for the Theme dropdown at the top of the customization section
- Click the dropdown to see available themes
- Select a theme from either:
- Your custom themes - Themes you've created and saved
- Pre-made themes - The 6 built-in themes
- The theme will be applied instantly to your form
- View the preview on the right to see how it looks
Note: When you apply a theme, it sets the appearance (colors, typography, button styles), layout configuration, and branding settings all at once. You can then further customize any of these settings individually after applying the theme.
Saving custom themes
Once you've customized your form exactly how you want it, you can save those settings as a reusable theme to apply to other forms and surveys.
How to save a theme
- Customize your form using the Branding, Layout, and Appearance tabs
- Click the Save as theme button next to the theme dropdown
- Enter a name for your theme (e.g., "Company Brand 2024")
- Optionally add a description to help identify the theme later
- Click Save
- Your theme will now appear in the Your custom themes section of the dropdown
What gets saved in a theme?
When you save a theme, it captures:
Appearance
- • Light & dark mode colors
- • Typography settings
- • Button styles
- • Field styles
- • Spacing preferences
Layout
- • Layout type (classic, split, etc.)
- • Background settings
- • Progress indicators
- • Question display options
Branding
- • Company name
- • Logo (if uploaded)
- • Color scheme preference
- • Powered-by badge settings
Tip: Create different themes for different use cases - one for customer surveys, another for internal feedback forms, and maybe a special one for seasonal campaigns.
Managing your themes
You can view and manage all your saved themes from the dashboard:
- Go to your dashboard
- Click on Themes in the sidebar
- View all your custom themes with their preview cards
- Click Apply on any theme to use it in a new form
- Click Delete to remove themes you no longer need
Note: Deleting a theme doesn't affect forms that are already using it. Those forms will keep their current settings. The theme just won't be available for future forms.
Best practices
Start with a pre-defined theme
Pick the closest match to your desired look, then customize it. This is faster than starting from scratch.
Use descriptive names
Name your themes clearly (e.g., "Q4 Campaign Blue" instead of "Theme 1") so you can easily find them later.
Test both light and dark modes
If you enable dark mode, make sure to configure colors for both modes to ensure good readability.
Maintain brand consistency
Create one main brand theme and use it across all customer-facing forms for a cohesive experience.
Review on mobile
Always check how your theme looks on mobile devices. Use the browser's responsive mode or test on your phone.
