Customization overview
Ask Users provides comprehensive customization options to ensure your surveys perfectly match your brand. You have full control over appearance, layout, branding, and styling.
All customization options are available through the survey customization editor, which provides real-time preview so you can see exactly how your changes will look.
Accessing customization
To customize a survey:
- Navigate to Dashboard → Surveys
- Click on the survey you want to customize
- Click the Actions dropdown
- Select Customize
- You'll be taken to the customization editor
Alternative route: When creating or editing a survey, you can access customization options from the survey builder by clicking the "Customize" button.
Customization options

Themes
Apply pre-defined themes or create and save custom themes for reuse across all surveys. Choose from 6 built-in themes or create your own.
Layout customization
Choose between classic and split layouts, add background images or gradients, and configure progress indicators. Control the visual structure of your survey.
Appearance and styling
Customize theme colors (light and dark mode), typography, button styles, field appearance, and spacing to perfectly match your brand.
Branding
Add your company name, upload your logo, control logo positioning, and manage the display of the powered-by badge.

- ✓Start with a theme: Begin with a pre-built theme and customize from there for faster setup.
- ✓Save custom themes: If you create a design you like, save it as a custom theme for reuse.
- ✓Test on mobile: Preview your survey on mobile devices to ensure it looks good on all screen sizes.
